Live Streamed Event: Going Universal: 24 Countries and the “How” of Universal Health Coverage Discussion, December 16

News

Future Health Systems is a research consortium working to improve access, affordability and quality of health services for the poor. We are a partnership of leading research institutes from across the globe working in a variety of contexts: in low-income countries (Bangladesh, Uganda), middle-income countries (China, India) and fragile states (Afghanistan) to build resilient health systems for the future. After a successful first five-year phase from 2006-2011 (see our success stories), we are entering a new six-year phase of research, funded mainly by UK aid.

In recognition of 2015 Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Day, which took place on December 12th, the Joint Learning Network will host a panel discussion on how 24 countries have moved toward universal health coverage.

Join panelists from the World Bank, Results for Development, USAID, and other organisations for a robust discussion on key takeaways from the 'Going Universal' Series, including how policymakers can tackle common challenges such as expanding coverage, expanding benefits, domestic resource mobilization, improving service delivery, and strengthening accountability.
